ASTech sponsors Tyler Bouck during the ERC Legends Game

Gaimersheim/Ingolstadt – On Sunday, February 19, prior to its German Ice Hockey League (DEL) game against the Schwenninger Wild Wings, ERC Ingolstadt organized a legends game for the benefit of the Bavarian Broadcasting Service “Sternstunden” (charity organization for ill, disabled and needy children), Goals for Kids (ERC non-profit organization) and the ERC young players program. During the Legends Game, 22 former players from Ingolstadt, including 10 master “panthers”, competed against the Sternstunden Team, a group of former players from around Germany who regularly participate in benefit games. The game, which lasted for 60 minutes, was won by the Legends team by a score of 12-5, much to the delight of the many diehard ice hockey fans in attendance. Many of the fans took advantage of the autograph session at the conclusion of the game to chat with their idols or snap selfies. Some of the former players actually hung around for more than an hour.

As part of our CSR activities and as a sponsor of ERCI, it goes without saying that ASTech participated in this first-time campaign, sponsoring none other than Tyler Bouck (number 12). The captain of the 2014 championship team skated around in a dark-colored, retro design jersey with the ASTech logo on the back and shoulders. What a show!

The “game worn” jersey – washed of course – is meanwhile in the possession of ASTech, where it will eventually enjoy a special place on our wall as a memento of this terrific benefit event.
