ASTech holds lecture the Technical University Coburg
Gaimersheim/Coburg – Five ASTech employees were at the Technical University Coburg on Monday, March, 11 to give a lecture to around 40 computer science students regarding ASTech and the company’s activities.
In the first part of the lecture, two of our employees talked about software development and testing at ASTech and bolstered this theoretical discussion with specific examples and exercises. During the afternoon, the students were given an overview of the basics of machine learning. To illustrate how this theory is actually applied to the automobile, the ASTech engineers introduced the company’s own Q7, equipped with a large sensor package, which is already underway on the streets to gather targeted data that is then analyzed at a later point. With this part of the lecture, the students had the opportunity to gain insights in the technology and learn what the sensors can do.
The lecture, which was well received by the students and which also triggered lively discussions and obvious interest, is an integral part of our diverse activities aimed at developing young talent and served as a prelude to planned collaboration with the Technical University Coburg. Further joint activities with the university are already in the works. Another lesson will be held in April as part of a university-organized series of lectures, plus an evening get-together is under discussion.
