ASTech donates to the “Ersthelfer von morgen – KiTa project”

Gaimersheim/Wolfsburg – As part of our corporate responsibility program, today ASTech donated €1,000 to the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. for its pilot project Ersthelfer von morgen – KiTa. The check was presented by Dr. Philipp Panitz, head of our Wolfsburg location, and a member of the ASTech CSR team, during the ASTech monthly employee meeting. The Johanniter used the opportunity to introduce the pilot project and hold discussions with our colleagues.

As a mid-sized company that specializes in integrated vehicle safety with a location in Wolfsburg, we wanted to direct our donations to local organizations. The Johanniter are using the project to familiarize day care children 4 years and older with the basic rules of first aid using a playful approach. After all, through specific actions anyone can become a first responder and save lives. In case of an accident, a fast and correct response is all that is required. The course is designed to help children learn and internalize this behavior.

It goes without saying that the project is an excellent fit for ASTech. While our activities focus on making today’s mobility safer for tomorrow, and thus preventing and minimizing the impact of accidents, the Johanniter project comes into play after an accident has perhaps already occurred. But this requires sponsors and donors – and every single euro counts. The courses are free for the young participants. A donation of 25 euros covers the participation of one child. We’re extremely pleased to know that our donation will enable 40 children to attend the first aid course.

This donation by ASTech is part of our social engagement, which will continue throughout the year with additional initiatives that we will update you on.
