VAIVA Hackathon

The idea behind

40 degrees, no wind and unbearable heat. And we all know how quickly vehicles that are exposed to the sun can heat up. Children and pets are nevertheless left alone in closed vehicles time and again. A quick stop to drop off a package or to grab some milk at the supermarket. Just 5 minutes, which then turns into 10, 30 or 60 minutes. And before you know it, the situation can become highly dangerous for the occupants of the vehicle.

The 2nd VAIVA Safety Hackathon will address the issue of how to avoid this scenario. The challenge: minimize the risks and injuries by monitoring children and pets in the interior of the vehicle. The task: develop a detection system using data from a predefined set of sensors.
