In the event of a collision, functions and systems from the field of integrated safety are essential for the survival of humans. It is therefore important to test these systems particularly intensively and to safeguard their irreversible functionality. In the area of virtual development and validation, we address the development of test methods, the testing itself as well as the security of trigger mechanisms of safety-relevant components and system functions in a real and virtual test environment.

Especially for virtual simulations, we develop test strategies and virtual models and tools that are individually designed for testing a certain functionality (e.g. pre-crash functions, pedestrian protection). These include the use of methods of environment sensor simulation, vehicle simulation, driver simulation and residual bus simulation.   

When it comes to virtual engineering and function validation, we adhere to clearly defined processes in accordance with ISO 9001, internal development processes and functional safety requirements in accordance with ISO 26262 to ensure the highest quality standards and highly reliable systems in the field of driver assistance and integrated safety. Furthermore, we develop new, innovative methods and processes in the field of validation with a view to future generations of driving functions.
